Verapamil tablets -Anti-arrhythmic

Composition

  • Verapamil 40 mg. Tablets : Each tablet contains verpamil hydrochloride 40 mg.
  • Verapamil 80 mg. Tablets: Each tablet contains verpamil hydrochloride 80 mg.

Indications

  • Angina pectoris.
  • After care of cardiac infarction.
  • Extrasystoles and atrial tachyarrhythmias.
  • Atrial flutter and fibrillation.
  • Supraventicular arrhythmia.

Precautions

Verpamil shouldn’t be given to patients with hypotension, marked bradycardia and heart failure.

Dosage

  • Angina pectoris: 120 mg. 3 times daily.
  • Hypertension: 160 mg. twice daily (10 mg./kg. daily in divided doses).
  • Arrythmia for children: 40-120 mg. 3 times daily.
  • Children below 2 years: 20 mg 2-3 times daily.
  • Over 2 years: 40-120 mg. 2-3 times daily.

Package

Verapamil 40 mg. tablets

  • Pack of 20 tablets in 2 strips, each of 10 tablets.
  • Pack of 1000 tablets in 100 strips, each of 10 tablets (Hospital pack).

Verapamil 80 mg. tablets

  • Pack of 20 tablets in 2 strips, each of 10 tablets.
  • Pack of 1000 tablets in 100 strips, each of 10 tablets (Hospital pack).

Storage

  • Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
  • Keep in dry place, protect from light.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Medicament is a product which affects your health, and its consumption contrary to instructions is dangerous for you.
  • Follow strictly the doctor’s prescription, the method of use and the instructions of the pharmacist who sales the medicament.
  • The doctor and the pharmacist are experts in medicine. It’s benefits and risks.
  • Do not by yourself interrupt the period of treatment prescribed for you.
  • Do not repeat the same prescription without consulting your doctor.
  • Keep medicament out of children reach.
