Tetracycline capsules – Broad spectram anti-bacterial agent


Each capsule contains tetracycline hydrochloride 250 mg.


  • Gastro-intestinal infections (bacterial and amoebic dysentery)
  • Uro-genital infections.
  • Meningeal infections.
  • E.N.T infections (Tonsilitis, otitis, Mastoiditis and sinusitis).
  • Rickettsial and viral infections ( typhus, Q fever, psittacosis, and lymphogranuloma inguinal ).
  • Malta fever (Brucellosis, anthrax and actinomycosis).
  • Treatment of sever acne.


  • Care with patients with renal impairment.
  • Young infants shouldn’t be given in high doses as it interfere with bone growth.


  • Contra-indicated to be used by pregnant women and children up to 9 years old.
  • It may be discolouration of the teeth and inhibits bone growth.


One capsule every 4 6 hours. Treatment has to be continued at least for 48 hours after disappearance of symptoms and fever.


Pack of 16 and 800 capsules. Each strip contains 8 capsules.


  • Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
  • Keep in dry place, protect from light.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Medicament is a product which affects your health, and its consumption contrary to instructions is dangerous for you.
  • Follow strictly the doctor’s prescription, the method of use and the instructions of the pharmacist who sales the medicament.
  • The doctor and the pharmacist are experts in medicine. It’s benefits and risks.
  • Do not by yourself interrupt the period of treatment prescribed for you.
  • Do not repeat the same prescription without consulting your doctor.
  • Keep medicament out of children reach.
