Rifamox granules -Anti-tuberculous

Composition

Each 30mg. of granules contain 2 gm. rifampicin suspension.

Indications

Treatment of

  1. All forms of tuberculosis (in combination with other anti-tuberculous drugs).
  2. Chemoprophylaxis of meningococcal meningitis.
  3. Staphylococcus endocarditis and haemophilis influenza.
  4. Leprosy and brucellosis.
  5. Infection due to sensitive micro-organisms as: respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, skin and soft tissues infections.

Precautions

Care taken with patients with liver disease. Contraindicated in patients with jaundice.

Dosage

10-20 mg. /kg. of B.wt. daily in divided doses for children orally on empty stomach. (Notice that maximum daily dose is 600 mg.)

Package

Bottle contains 30 gm. granules for reconstitution with 45 ml. of water. Notice: Shake well before each use.

Storage

  • Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
  • Keep in dry place, protect from light.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Medicament is a product which affects your health, and its consumption contrary to instructions is dangerous for you.
  • Follow strictly the doctor’s prescription, the method of use and the instructions of the pharmacist who sales the medicament.
  • The doctor and the pharmacist are experts in medicine. It’s benefits and risks.
  • Do not by yourself interrupt the period of treatment prescribed for you.
  • Do not repeat the same prescription without consulting your doctor.
