Composition
Each tablet contains: zopiclone 7.5 mg.
Properties
Hypnor® (Zopiclone) exhibits hypnosedative, muscle relaxant and anticonvulsant properties.
Hypnor® (Zopiclone) recognizes specifically, and with high affinity, binding sites that belong to the GABA-benzodiazepine chloride channel macromolecular receptor complex.
Indication
Hypnor® is used as a hypnotic in the short-term management of insomnia.
Dosage and Administration
The usual dose is 7.5 mg by mouth at night.
In old age and risk groups:
- Treatment should be initiated with a dose of 3.75 mg (half tablet) at night in elderly patients,
- renal insufficiency patients and hepatic insufficiency patients, but 7.5 mg is well tolerated and effective in these patients.
