- Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCl): 30 mg.
Properties
Emetrex® is an effective antiemetic combination of cyclizine and pyridoxine for preventing and controlling nausea and vomiting due to a variety of conditions.
Cyclizine is a piperazine derivative which has antiemetic and antihistaminic, H1-receptor antagonist, properties.
It acts within 30-60 minutes and its effect lasts for 4-6 hours.
It reduces the sensitivity of labyrinthine apparatus (direct inner ear effect).
Its action is mediated through nerve pathways to the vomiting center from chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) and peripheral nerve pathways. It is also effective against vomiting caused by substances which act locally in the stomach.
Vitamin B6 helps in treating nausea and vomiting.
