Declofenac – Non-Steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs

Pharmaceutical forms and Composition

  • Declofenac 25mg. tablets: each enteric tablet contains 25mg. declofenac sodium.
  • Declofenac 50mg. tablets: each enteric coated tablet contains 50mg. declofenac sodium.
  • Declofenac 100mg S.R tablets each enteric coated tablet contains 100mg. S.R. declofenac sodium.
  •  Declofenac 25mg./1ml. ampoules: each Ampoule contains 25mg. declofenac sodium / 1ml.
  • Declofenac 1% gel: each 100 ml. gel contains 1% declofenac sodium.

Indications

  • Musculo-skeletal and joint disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and polyarticular diseases associated with inflammatory processes.
  • Soft tissue disorders: sprains and low back pain.
  • Renal colic, biliary colic, acute gout and dysmenorrhoea.
  •  Fever.
  • Post-operative and Post-traumatic inflammation.

Contra-indications

  • Gastric and duodenal ulcers.
  • Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage

  • Declofenac 25mg. Tablets : 1 – 2 tablets 3 times daily after meals.
  • Declofenac 50mg. Tablets: one tablet 3 times daily after meals.
  • Declofenac 100mg. S.R Tablets: one tablet once daily after meals.
  • Declofenac 25mg/ml. Ampoules: one ampule 3 ml. I.M twice daily.
  • Declofenac 1% gel: topically on the affected area 3-4 times daily.

Package

  • Declofenac 25 mg. Enteric coated tablets: Pack of 30 tablets in 3 strips, each of 10 tablets. Pack of 1000 tablets in 100 strips, each of 10 tablets.
  • Declofenac 50 mg. Enteric coated tablets: Pack of 20 tablets in 2 strips, each of 10 tablets. Pack of 1000 tablets in 100 strips, each of 10 tablets.
  • Declofenac 100mg S.R Enteric coated tablets: Pack of 10 tablets in one strip. Pack of 1000 tablets in 100 strips, each of 10 tablets.
  • Declofenac Ampoules: Pack of 3 ampoules, each of 3 ml. (25mg/ml). Pack of 25 ampoules, each of 3 ml ( 25mg/ml).
  • Declofenac 1% Gel: Pack of 20 gm (1% gel) packed in gel- tube.

Storage

  • Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
  • Keep in dry place, protect from light.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Medicament is a product which affects your health, and its consumption contrary to instructions is dangerous for you.
  • Follow strictly the doctor’s prescription, the method of use and the instructions of the pharmacist who sales the medicament.
  • The doctor and the pharmacist are experts in medicine. It’s benefits and risks.
  • Do not by yourself interrupt the period of treatment prescribed for you.
