Sine Up Syrup: Patient Information Leaflet

Composition:

Each 100 ml contains:

  • Chlorpheniramine maleate: 50 mg
  • Phenylephrine hydrochloride: 100 mg

Properties:

Sine Up Syrup is a dual-action solution with the following active ingredients:

Chlorpheniramine maleate: An antihistaminic that competes with histamine, offering rapid relief without significant sedation.

Phenylephrine hydrochloride: A sympathomimetic amine that reduces nasal and bronchial secretions through vasoconstriction, providing effective respiratory congestion relief.

Indications:

Sine Up Syrup is indicated for:

  • Symptomatic relief of respiratory congestion due to common cold, allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, and upper respiratory allergies (e.g., sinusitis).
  • Rhinosinusitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis.
  • Otitis media.

Side Effects:

As with all antihistaminics, mild sedation may occur, lasting for a short time. Caution is advised in hypertension, ischemic heart, or thyrotoxicosis.

Dosage:

Recommended dosage:

  • Children (1-3 years): Half teaspoonful three times daily.
  • Children (3-12 years): One teaspoonful three times daily.
  • Adults: Two teaspoonfuls three times daily.

Contraindications:

Use with caution in individuals with hypertension, ischemic heart conditions, or thyrotoxicosis.

Packing:

A bottle containing 120 ml.

Storage:

Store in a cool place, protected from heat and direct sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.
