Dosage & Administration

  • Dose range is 10/10 mg/day to 10/40 mg/day. Recommended usual starting dose is 10/10 or 10/20 mg/day.

  • Product Name: Simvaxibe, which contains a cholesterol absorption inhibitor and an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin).
  • Indication: indicated as adjunctive therapy to diet to: reduce elevated total-C, LDL-C, Apo B, TG, and non-HDL-C, and to increase HDL-C in patients with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed hyperlipidemia.
  • Dosage And Administration: Dose range is 10/10 mg/day to 40/10 mg/day. Recommended usual starting dose is 10/10 or 20/10 mg/day.

Contraindications

  • Concomitant administration of strong CYP3A4 inhibitors.
  • Concomitant administration of gemfibrozil, cyclosporine, or danazol.
  • Hypersensitivity to any component of this medication.
  • Active liver disease.
  • Pregnancy & nursing mother.
