Composition
Each 100 ml contains: Activated Dimethicone 2 g.
Properties
Simethicone acts as a defoaming agent by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines enabling them to coalesce, thereby preventing the formation of mucus-coated gas pockets in the gastrointestinal tract and eliminating the gas more easily.

Indications
To relive flatulence and associated painful symptoms and discomfort, day and night, in infants and children due to air swallowing, functional dyspepsia, diverticulitis and postoperative gas distention.
To eliminate gases from the GIT prior to abdominal radiography, ultrasonography and upper GI endoscopy in pediatrics. As an adjunct in the treatment of infantile colic.
Dosage
- Adults: ½-1 teaspoonful (50 – 100 mg).
- Adults: 1 to 3 times daily and at bedtime or as directed by physician.
- Children: ½ teaspoonful (50 mg) 1 to 3 times daily and at bedtime or as – directed by physician.
- Infants under 2 years: 15-20 drops 1 to3 times daily and at bedtime or as directed by physician.
- Before radiography or endoscopy: The same dose of Simethicone should be used 3 times and at bedtime daily for 2-3 days.

Simethicone is not absorbed, it is physiologically inert and not known to modify any aspect of body biochemistry or interfere with clinical pathology or diagnostic tests.
