Composition : Each 5 ml of syrup Contains:

  • Calcium gluconate … 25 mg (Eq. to 2.25 mg elemental calcium).
  • Calcium phospholactate … 25 mg (Eq. to 3.25 mg elemental calcium).
  • Ferrous gluconate … 43.2 mg (Eq. to 5 mg Elemental Iron).
  • Panthenol … 2 mg.
  • Vitamin A palmitate(1.7 MIU/gm) … 0.7058 mg (Equivalent to 1200 IU).
  • Vitamin D3(4 MIU/gm in oil) … 0.025 mg (Equivalent to 100 IU).
  • Alpha — tocopheryl acetate (oil) … 1 mg( Equivalent to 0.911 mg Vitamin E).
  • Thiamine HCL … 1 mg (Equivalent to 0.892 mg Vitamin B1).
  • Riboflavin Phosphate Sod … 1 mg (Equivalent to 0.76 mg Vitamin B2).
  • Pyridoxine HCI … 0.5 mg (Equivalent to 0.411 mg Vitamin B6).
  • Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) … 50 mg.
  • Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) … 5 mg .

The product contains sodium benzoate 5 mg\5 ml and contains EDTA 5 mg\ 5ml.

Dose

Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, the usual daily dose for children from 3 years and adult is: 1 teaspoonful( 5ml).

Precautions & warnings

  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • As this product contains iron, so it may produces gastrointestinal irritation, and abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting, diarrhea or constipation.
  • The faeces of patients taking iron salts may be coloured black.
  • Increased risk of bone fracture was reported for an intake of 1500 mcg RE/day (5000 IU) vitamin A.
  • For postmenopausal women who are at greater risk of osteoporosis have to restrict their intake to 1500 mcg RE/day (5000 IU) vitamin A.
  • High doses of vitamin A may increase the risk of birth defects when used by pregnant women.
  • Has laxative effect in high doses due to sorbitol content.
  • This product isn’t a source of calcium & not used for children of weight less than 12 kg.
