Flumol is used to relieve symptoms of colds and seasonal allergy such as: headache, sinus pain, nasal and sinus congestion (runny or stuffy nose), sneezing, increased tearing, runny nose, high temperature, itchy nose or sore throat. It may also be used to treat other conditions as prescribed by your doctor.
Flumol is an antihistamine, decongestant and pain reliever formulation that works by blocking the release of histamine, a substance secreted in the body that causes sneezing, runny nose and increased tear production. It also removes nasal congestion and pain associated with sinus pressure and works to reduce nasal and chest secretions.
How to use Flumol
- Flumol must be used according to the doctor’s instructions.
- Dosage for children 6 to 11 years of age: 10 milliliters every 4 to 6 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 4 doses per day.
- If the usual dose is forgotten, it can be taken as soon as possible, and if the time for the next dose is approaching, this forgotten dose can be skipped and the treatment continued according to the established schedule. Do not give your child two doses at the same time.
- Stop treatment and contact the doctor if your child feels irritable, dizzy, or cannot sleep.
- Flumol can be taken with food if it causes stomach problems to your child.

- Do not take more doses than those prescribed by your doctor, or those stated in the enclosed leaflet attached to the package of the medicine, because increasing the dose will not lead to an increase in the effect, but will increase the possibility of side effects.
- Do not use Flumol Syrup on your own (without consulting a doctor) for longer than 7 days. See a doctor if your condition does not improve or is getting worse.
- Do not use Flumol, after the expiry date which is stated on the package.
- This medicine should be stored at a temperature of 20 to 25 ° C.
- You should avoid taking Flumol, with other cold medicines.
