Precautions and warnings
- Avoid prolonged use and over dose.
- To be used under medical supervision.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Sometimes produces gastrointestinal irritation and abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting, diarrhea or constipation.
- The faeces of patients taking iron salts may be colored black.
Dosage
Children
6 – 12 years: 1 teaspoonful daily
Adults
1 teaspoonful twice daily
During menstruation or pregnancy
1 teaspoonful twice daily or as prescribed by the physician
Note: 1 teaspoonful is approximately equivalent to 5 ml
