Anticox II Suppositories, Tablets, Capsules & Ampoules

Composition

  • Each supp. contains: Meloxicam 15mg.
  • Each tablet contains: Meloxicam 15mg.
  • Each capsule contains: Meloxicam 7.5mg.
  • Each 3ml amp. contains: Meloxicam 15mg.

Properties

  • Anticox II (Meloxicam) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which acts via inhibition of Cox 2 in contrast with other NSAID’s currently available & mainly Cox 1 inhibitors.
  • Anticox II improves the safety profile by producing fewer side effects & high efficacy. Different formulations allow patients to switch between different dosage form at their convenience.

Indications

It is used in the treatment of acute and chronic painful, inflammatory and degenerative disorders of the musculoskeletal system, such as:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Osteoarthritis (arthrosis).
  • Ankylosing spondylitis.
  •  Acute gout.
  • Acute musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., low back pain).
  • Pain of various etiologies (e.g., dental pain and postoperative pain).
  • Primary dysmenorrhea.

Dosage & Administration

The recommended dose is 7.5mg (one capsule) or 15mg (2 capsules 7.5mg or one tablet 15mg) once daily with food, depending on the severity of the case.

In case of injection or suppository, the recommended dose is one ampoule intramuscular, once daily or one suppository once daily.

Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity to Meloxicam, Active peptic ulcer, Children under 15 years of age, Pregnancy & lactation.

Side Effects

GI: stomatitis, epigastric distress, nausea, abnormal pain.

  • Box of 5 suppositories (15mg).
  • Box of 3 ampoules (15mg/3ml).
  • Box of 10 tablets (15mg).
  • Box of 20 tablets (7.5mg).
