Alveolin Syrup is a combination of herbs that are helpful to treat dry cough, whooping cough, smoker’s cough and tuberculosis cough. Alveolin syrup dilates bronchioles which help in breathing easily without causing any discomfort. It Helps to induce a sense of well-being. Alveolin syrup is non-sedative, well-tolerated and safe for all age groups.
Directions For Use:
- Children: 2.5 to 5 ml, twice or thrice a day.
- Adults: 10 to 15 ml. twice or thrice a day .
Composition
Each 5 ml syrup contains:
- Grindelia Herba Liquid Extract 16.65 mg. Standardized to contain 0.06% Grindelin (saponin).
- Primula Radix Liquid Extract 8.335 mg. Standardized to contain 0.01% Primula acid (Triterpene saponin).
- Pimpinella Radix Liquid Extract 3.330 mg. Standardized to contain 0.03% Pampinellin, (C13H10O5).
- Thyme Herb Liquid Extract 16.65mg. Standardized to contain 0.065% Phenols, calculated as Thymol.
- Flora Rose Liquid Extract 16.65 mg. Standardized to contain 0.03% Geraniol.
- Eucalyptus oil 8.332 mg. Standardized to contain 70% 1,8 cineole (Eucalyptol).
Indications
Dietary supplement which may be useful for dry cough .
Dosage & Administration
Unless otherwise prescribed, Adults above 18 years : 1-2 Table spoonful 3 times daily.
Precautions & Warning
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Avoid use thyme during pregnancy.
- May affect individual with urinary tract or gastrointestinal inflammation.
- Used with caution in individuals with thyroid disorders.
- Gastric irritation and diarrhea may occurs due to grindelia.
- Due to its Sorbitol content use with caution in diabetic patients and may cause laxative effect in large doses.
It contains Propylene Glycol so:
- Not to be used for pregnant women.
- Not to be used for patient with hepatic and renal impairment.
- Not to be used with patients take medicines containing Metronidazole, Disulfiram, cephalosporins or mushrooms.

- Carton box containing plastic bottle of 100 ml with inner leaflet.
- Storage: Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
